Walk-on glass is so versatile it can be installed in both an interior or exterior space. External walk-on glass floors or walk-on roof lights are ideal for roof terraces and public spaces. You could also install a walk-on floor if you have subterranean living quarters which would benefit from more natural light. Internal glass floors work best when they accentuate a light source or other significant features such as doorways. For example, walk-on floors can be built into landings or stairways or rooms that are used for entertaining. Walk-on glass floors are typically single-glazed but still solid enough to hold a significant amount of weight. Structural glass is also covered with an anti-slip coating and can be clear or frosted.

Single Pane or Multi-Pane
Toucan provides durable walk-on glass floors in either a single pane or multi-pane sizes. Single panes are typically used for interior spaces depending on the area you’re covering. Larger areas need more panes in order to maintain structural integrity.
When installing glass you can walk on in exterior spaces, double or multi-pane floors are required to ensure they have sufficient strength to hold excessive weight and continuous footfall.
